Creating Ripples - Jane Best

Jane Best took up a volunteer position with Refugees International Japan (RIJ) in the year 2000 as Funding Director and in 2006 she was appointed President and CEO following a re-structuring that included recruiting someone for the first time.

This followed 12 years in Tokyo running a British restaurant with her husband and included several other projects from time-to-time (second restaurant, a bar, outside catering).

Since Jane joined RIJ she has visited projects they fund in: Thailand, Burma, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Bosnia, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Lebanon, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, South Africa with forthcoming visits to Jordan and Turkey.
