Creating Ripples - Rabia Nusrat

Rabia Nusrat is British / Pakistani and works for International Alert as Emerging Projects Manager. She is an expert in working with the business sector to help with peace building initiatives. This includes analysing the current situation in the country or region and the development and management of peace building projects.

Rabia leads on the consolidation and growth of Alert's new country programmes, particularly in Afghanistan, and provides day-to-day managerial support to the implementation of peace-building projects in Sri Lanka.

In a previous role, Rabia spearheaded the introduction and implementation of an international mental health programme in Pakistan and designed and managed the Pakistan Flood Recovery Fund, an initiative convened by The Prince of Wales.

Amongst her many qualifications and talents, Rabia is fluent in Urdu and English and has an MSc in International Policy Analysis, as well as training in Urban Crime and Violence Prevention and the Skills Building programme on Conflict Prevention for the EU.
